What do you do aside from school?
I’m a stylist. I’ve been calling myself that since October. Basically, last summer was my toxic-party-girl phase. I made this rapper friend, and we were just sitting at her house, and she was fretting because she had nothing to wear to her performance. And I was like, “You literally have white fur Demonias in your closet. What are you talking about?” I put an outfit together for her, and she tagged me on her Instagram Story. I put “stylist” in my bio and said my fee was $65. Then I got a message from someone asking if I could style them for the Governors Ball. And then another person messaged me. I’m like, Okay, bet!
Where’d you get ready today?
In the bathroom at the day care where my mom works, near Essex Crossing, because they have these giant bathrooms. Her co-workers were like, “Where are you going?” I was like, “Oh, I’m a stylist. I got invited to a fashion show.” Anyway, I was in that bathroom for like an hour and ten minutes, and there was a guy outside waiting to clean it. I know he was probably like, What is she doing? Well, I was just listening to frickin’ hyperpop and feeling myself.

Tell us about your career.
I used to work at Teen Vogue and InStyle, but everyone was whispering, “Digital — it’s the next thing. Instagram.” So I started posting more, and my first quote-unquote influencer job was for Wendy’s. So random. They wanted to show a New York fashion girl going about her day, then stopping to eat a Wendy’s salad. I did it, and honestly, it changed my life.

Why are you here?
My girlfriend’s in the show. I’m just tagging along. I actually walked one year for Collina Strada, the year Hayley Williams from Paramore was performing. This year, I’m just in the audience eating — they gave out those little Nestlé chocolate-covered ice-cream balls.

How does New York’s compare with other Fashion Weeks?
In Paris, the street photographers are very different. They usually stay in their own setup space at the show, then whenever they see somebody they want to stop — usually a girl with a very short skirt — they’ll all start screaming at the same time, “Arrête! Arrête! Arrête! Arrête!”

What’s been a highlight this week?
The Batsheva event at Casa Cipriani. Molly Ringwald, Hari Nef, and Maude Apatow were there. And the Cobrasnake, so I kind of relived my 2014 Tumblr phase getting photographed by him.

What kind of art do you do?
Beadwork. A lot of the Garment District shops have sadly shut, but one’s still open that I absolutely love: Toho Shoji. Everybody in there makes stuff too, so they’re extremely knowledgeable. Sometimes I walk out with hundreds of beads in my bag.
