Helena Christensen has revealed that she used to buy and wear used mens underpants as a teenager.
The Danish supermodel, 54, was born in Copenhagen and explained that she did not have fashion magazines growing up – so resorted to finding different ways of expressing her creativity.
Having a strong interest in fashion from a young age, she says this led her to going into second hand stores to find inspiration.

Speaking to The Sun, Helena said: I didn’t have fashion magazines, but as a teenager one of my favourite stores was a secondhand one.
‘I would buy men’s underwear and ballgowns and pair them together. That was my look, it was funny.
‘I feel so much joy going into a little store and looking through all these pieces that belonged to somebody else, perhaps many, many decades ago.’
Helena also added that it was the ‘history’ of the second-hand pieces she bought is what fascinated them, considering the ‘story they bring’ within the fabric worn by the men and women.

It comes after Helena shared a picture of a ‘sexual enhancer’ which promised ‘bigger, stronger and no headache’ to her Instagram Stories.
This week, the 54-year-old supermodel held up the packaging for the product which was called The Rock and contained one capsule and featured a steamy snap on the front.
While Helena didn’t divulge whether the enhancer was hers, she poked fun at the marketing of the product and captioned the photo: ‘No headache [laughing]’.

After making the X-rated joke, Helena shared a sizzling snap to her page of herself wearing a pretty floral strapless dress.
The lingerie model showcased her incredible figure in the form-fitting dress, while posing up a storm in a mirror selfie.
Helena opted for minimal make-up in the photo and wore her brunette locks swept up into a messy bun.

Helena’s latest updates come after she braved freezing temperatures to go swimming outdoors on her birthday which lands on Christmas Day.
She looked like she wasn’t struggling at all as she put her shoulders under the freezing water while at home in Denmark.
The mother-of-one showed off her incredible figure in a black swimsuit with a pink belt detail which cinched in her waist.
Helena swept her brunette locks back into a bun and sported a glam makeup look with a bold red lip.
She climbed down a set of ladders and jumped into the freezing cold water before swimming around in the picturesque lake.
Giving her followers an update on how she spent her birthday and Christmas, she wrote: ‘Merry birthday to me another dip around the sun’
