In a 1st, remaining calendar year fashion structure students from INIFD presented their assortment in collaboration with the London School of Developments at the 7th year of the New York Fashion Week.
The assortment, titled ‘Indian Vogue Trunk’, consisted 52 pieces which have been despatched down the runway.

Sharing her experience of showcasing at one of fashion’s international capitals, Basudhara Mukhapadhyay, a pupil in the coming up with staff, explained to indianexpress.com that “it is a aspiration occur true” for her.

From mirror work borrowed from Odisha and Gujarat, Bengal’s kantha stitch, to Bihar’s Madhubani painting, the college students expressed that they preferred to provide Indian craft and tradition to the highlight on NYFW’s international system.

The materials used in the assortment ranged from habotai silk to georgette, and velvet to butter crepe, all of which were, according to Khosla, ethically sourced and repurposed to be certain zero wastage.
